Mid week Bible Study: Parables…Putting Jesus’s Stories in Their Place by Josh Scott.
When Jesus taught in parables, he was doing more than telling simple morality tales. His stories were grounded in the world in which he lived and hs vision of the Kingdom of God. This book explores six parables that give us a window into Jesus’s message and movement, and , once theyare heard in their own context, ask what they might mean for us today. Parables include : the New Wine and Wineskins, the Mustard Seed, the Leaven, the Wedding Party, the Workers in the Vineyard, and the Wicked tenants. Join us on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. in the “Pink Room” next to Pastor’s office.
Thursday, May 8th our KEYS Group will enjoy sandwiches and Spinners in the pink room at 11:30 a.m. Join us for fun and fellowship.
Tuesday, May 27th our KEYS Group will take a Day Trip to Grand Rivers, KY. We’ll have lunch at Patti’s and shop all the neat little shops. Van leaves at 9:30 a.m. Call to save a seat on the van! Join us for fun and fellowship.
Ladies Group will meet for dinner at Rip’s Brick Oven Pizza on Thursday, May 22nd @ 6:00 p.m.
