John is a southern Illinois native and is well known and highly respected in our local community. He has pastored churches throughout southern Illinois for 45 years and served as a District Superintendent for 4 years. His alma mater includes McKendree College in Lebanon IL,Emory University in Atlanta GA, U.S. Army Chaplain School at Ft, Dix and Eden Seminary in St. Louis MO.
John has been active in denominational as well as community organizations, including such local groups as:
the Salvation Army and Habitat for Humanity,
Chair of the Spiritual Care Committee of Carbondale Memorial Hospital,
and a member of the Ethics Committee of Southern Illinois Healthcare.
He currently serves on the Foundation Board of Southern Illinois Healthcare and on the S.T.A.R.T. board.
